Script

 On the Court.

Aksanty introduces the show as it’s narrator, stating the production team involved (MvR Productions) and the title “On the Court”.

The Narrator will speak about Shiloh (The main character) and cover his past whilst he’s in training going through.

(Shiloh is having a laugh with his friends whilst the drill is going on and you can hear the laughter in the background).

(We get flashes of Shiloh during training).

The narrator will then go on to explain how Shiloh has the potential to make it to the NBA. And how he struggles with confidence.

Typing on his phone can be heard.

(Friend no.1)

Yo Shiloh what’s good bro, what you looking at?

(Shiloh)

Huh, nah it’s nothing I was just looking at the rankings.

(Friend no.1)

Oh really? Where was you ranked it was high isn’t it.

(Shiloh)

(Insecure cough)

Yeah, it was high man I didn’t really see though I was scrolling quite quickly.

Friend no.2 and 3 now approach them.

(Friend no.2)

Ay guys, I beg we go eat or something man my stomach is rumbling man I haven’t eaten in days.

(Friend no.3)

Bro shut up man all you think about is food man food, food, food do some push-ups or something.

His Stomach began to rumble, and the rest are laughing. (Friend 2)

(Friend 3)

Forget this joke man, ay Shiloh where’d you rank bro.

(There’s an awkward silence in the room and Shiloh has his head down zoning out).

Yo, Shiloh you alright.

(Shiloh)

(Deep breathe)

Yeah, I’m cool man I’m just mad hungry bro I’m with (Friend 3) man lets go eat for real.

(Narrator)

(The Group leave the court and are on their way out where they see their other friend playing ball with random people before going to eat food, they go to greet him. It’s still obvious that Shiloh is down about something.)

(Friend 4)

(Breathes heavily)

Nah you guys violated what took you so long.

(Friend 1)

Athletes’ life bro we’ve got to become the best team in the borough. You know this stop complaining.

(Shiloh)

(On his phone)

I mean we aren’t even doing bad now man, look we are in the championship.

(Shows his phone)

(Friend 2)

Yeah, but look we just got promoted so we still got work to do. I don’t want to hear this guy's nonsense. We’re getting criticized on the net right now. (Deep sigh of annoyance). Ay you man Beg we go eat.

(A loud bassy music is playing in the background)

(Friend 3)

Wait you lot who’re those guys coming in front there.

(Shiloh)

Oh, my days there’s no way that’s-

(Antagonist 1)

(Talks with a lot of confidence)

Yo, Shiloh what’s going on bro long time no see, how you been? don’t tell you’re still playing ball are you?

(Shiloh)

Yeah, so what if I am what’s that got to do with you?

(Antagonist 1)

Somebody tell this BUM, that he’s not allowed to play MY sport. It puts a stain to the beautiful game.

(Friend 4)

And who said your basketball’s saviour? As far as I know you’re not even ranked.

(Antagonist 1)

Not ranked yeah…oh so your boy hasn’t told you?

(He pulls out his phone to show them the rankings)

I’m the number one player whilst your boy isn’t even ranked. You ain’t seen what happened last season? It’s going crazy all-over social media.

(Shows another video this time of Shiloh).

(Friend 3)

Woah this isn’t right bro no way that’s Shiloh It can’t be.

(Friend 1)

How comes you didn’t tell us? We wouldn’t have been mad at you… Is this why you haven’t been yourself these past few months?

(Antagonist 1)

Yeah, your boy here airballed the last shot of the game to grab the win for his old team, and he’s been getting dragged online since. Obviously, I’m the one who posted it, though I never thought it’d catch this much traction (chuckles) I can’t lie these memes are funny (chuckles).

(Friend 2)

Why didn’t you tell us man? Wait did you only join us, so you have a shot at the title? I swear you’re a slimy piece of-

(Shiloh)

(Sounding guilty whilst talking)

Look I’m sorry man how was I meant to tell you guys? Do you know what I been through this past summer? This whole time I was a victim of cyberbullying bro…How do you tell someone that? I had a great season and I lost it all on the court. And you want me to speak up? you know the culture of this game it doesn’t work like that.

(Friend 4)

Yeah, and you know us as well before anything we’re brothers It don’t make sense for us to flame you over a miss.

(Shiloh)

It’s not just a miss though is it; my shot decided our season and it didn’t even hit the rim bro. My “brothers” on the last team didn’t even talk to me after.

(Antagonist 1)

No way, say swear they didn’t speak to you (laughs hysterically). If I were you though I’d completely quit basketball bro there ain’t no future for you here.

(Friend 3)

(Kisses his teeth)

I can’t lie bro keep talking and we’ll show you what our team is about tell one of your background character’s to even live stream it. Pick your 5. (Emphasis behind this) Your getting dropped off on this court.

(Friend 1)

Trust me these guys aren’t on a 5on5 right now on live they’re too scared for that. They’ll get destroyed simple as.

(Friend 2)

Count me in bro the food can come later got to show these guys who’s the best round here. Ranked 1 don’t mean nothing to us.

(Friend 4)

Ahh, see how you guys got them started I’m already tired as it is but I’m jumping on 100% we don’t back down from no one.

(Friend 1)

Ay, Shye you in yeah? Don’t tell me you’re going to back out otherwise we’re really going to have an issue.

(Shiloh)

 (Chuckles lightly)

Of course, I’m on it bro. Let’s get rid of my man from the ranks he doesn’t deserve that.

(Antagonist 1)

Oh swear? You guys think your “power of friendship” stuff is going to beat me and my five? Bunch of rookies.

(Shiloh)

Team ain’t got five in it, that’s where you’re lacking.

(Antagonist 1)

But it for sure got M.E inside you bum. Another easy clip for my social media you’re going through that summer again. Let’s run it.
